New entertainment center coming to Paragould

Paragould's Entertainment Resurgence: A Bowling, Laser Tag, and Golf Simulator Destination

Paragould, Arkansas, is about to experience a surge in entertainment options as the former Paragould Cinema 8 undergoes a transformation. Chris Moyer, a local entrepreneur, has set his sights on reviving the city's entertainment scene, which has been lacking since the closure of the previous bowling center.

Bringing Back the Fun to Paragould

A Multifaceted Entertainment Hub

The new entertainment center, which is currently unnamed, will offer a diverse range of activities to cater to the diverse interests of Paragould residents. Moyer's vision includes 12 lanes of bowling, a state-of-the-art laser tag facility, golf simulators, and an arcade filled with a variety of games. Additionally, the center will feature a restaurant, providing a complete entertainment experience under one roof. The strategic location of the former cinema was a key factor in Moyer's decision. "We're able to go into an existing building that's fairly new, it was built after 2000 and opened up sooner. So, instead of taking 18 to 24 months to open, we'll be able to open in about six months," he explained. This expedited timeline will allow the community to enjoy the new entertainment options much sooner than if the project had started from scratch.

Reviving the Entertainment Landscape

The loss of the previous bowling center and the cinema has left a void in Paragould's entertainment landscape. Moyer recognized this need and has been determined to bring back a vibrant hub of activities for the community. "A lot of people travel the Jonesboro to do a lot of things and Paragould really needed a place to bowl and do everything else from an entertainment standpoint," he said. The excitement surrounding the project is palpable, as Moyer has been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to make this vision a reality. "Being able to actually see it come to fruition and actually close on the building and really start the project is what excites me the most because it's been a long eight years that this community hasn't had an entertainment space and it's time," he expressed.

Keeping the Community Informed

To keep the community engaged and informed, Moyer plans to launch a dedicated Facebook page in the coming weeks. This platform will allow residents to follow the progress of the demolition and reconstruction process, as well as stay updated on the center's development.Moyer's commitment to reviving Paragould's entertainment scene is evident, and the community is eagerly anticipating the opening of this new multi-faceted entertainment hub. With the promise of bowling, laser tag, golf simulators, and a vibrant arcade, the former Paragould Cinema 8 is poised to become the epicenter of fun and recreation for the city.
